BEDROOM

Your Parenting Blueprint Begins in the Bedroom

Attachment & Relationships

When you were little and you were scared, hurt, overwhelmed, or simply needed someone, what happened?

Did someone come close? Did you feel safe needing them? Were affection and comfort easy in your home? Or did you learn to handle things on your own?

We learn so much about relationships before we ever have words for what we are learning.

Your answers suggest that emotional safety and closeness may be an important part of your parenting blueprint today. Maybe you are recreating the safety you experienced. Maybe you are incredibly intentional about giving your children the comfort you wish you had.

But here is where the Bedroom gets interesting.

There isn't actually just one Bedroom in your Parenting Blueprint. There are two.

There is the Child's Bedroom, where we explore attachment, safety, comfort, and what you learned about needing someone.

Then there is the Parent's Bedroom, where we explore intimacy, partnership, and what your earliest experiences taught you about close adult relationships.

They are different rooms with different stories, but both can shape the relationships you are creating in your home today.

I invite you to think about:

When I needed someone as a child, what happened, and how might that be shaping the way I respond when my children need me?

But your blueprint wasn't built in just one room.

The Bedroom may simply be the first place asking for your attention. And your result has already given you a glimpse of something important: even this one result holds more than one story.

There is so much more to notice as you walk through the rest of your childhood home.
